Today I had the pleasure of visiting my friends at NBC to do another segment on New York Live with Sara Gore and Jacquie Reid. It was so much fun, because I brought Amaya with me (and mom, of course) to meet the team. It was the first time I got to show off my baby girl in a work environment and I couldn’t be prouder. It’s with great excitement that I share my new hosting partnership with NBC! After acting as their editorial beauty and wellness expert for the past nine years, I’m finally expanding my personal brand and bringing it to the network in a more official way. Moving forward, I will be hosting/acting as the expert for “JM Approved,” a new branded content segment that will air monthly on New York Live TV featuring my favorite beauty, wellness, fashion and food finds. Last week I had the pleasure of talking about the cruelty free beauty trend on NBC’s New York Live with Jacque Reid and Sara Gore. California is the first state in the US to put a ban on the sale of beauty products tested on animals starting in 2020. I can only hope it catches on sooner than later. According this Allure article, California became one of the first states that passed a law banning the sales of any products that are tested on animals to be effective starting January 1, 2020. We’re so excited that more companies are taking part in this movement against animal testing and that’s why we’ve gathered some of our favorite cruelty-free brands with some of their latest products.
