Mila Kunis

Get the Look: The Secret to Mila Kunis's Sleek, Sexy Strands at the 'Ted' Premiere

I have to admit, I can't wait to see the movie Ted.  I, (along with most men), love Mila Kunis and would go see it just because she's in it, but the talking teddy bear kinda has me wanting to see it too.  Not going to lie... Last week Ted premiered in Hollywood at the Chinese Theatre and Mila looked gorge along side Mark Wahlberg donning a structured, black Christian Dior dress.  Her hair however, was the show stopper.   I couldn't help but envy Mila's healthy looking, smooth, shiny strands!  Jealous!!! I spoke with the creator of her silky 'do, Frederic Fekkai Celebrity Stylist, Adir Abergel, who explained the inspiration behind the sleek, sophisticated look was the modern lines of Mila's dress.

He dried her hair with a flat, paddle brush using Fekkai Coiff Ironless Straightening Balm.  After blowing it out, he ran a flat iron through the ends only to ensure they were smooth.  Constantly running a straightening iron from your roots to your ends will only damage your hair and take any shine out of it.  This part of her style was crucial.  After the sleekness was conquered, he teased the top of Mila's hair to boost her volume.

Celebs Prove Ombre Hair is More than A Trend

If you jumped on the ombre bandwagon last year and are ready for the next best thing, you may want to consider hanging tight.  Last week I met with David Stanko, Redken's Haircolor Consultant, to freshen up my color for fall and according to him, ombre is here to stay. In case you're not familiar, ombre means shading and with hair color its typically darker roots that fade into lighter ends (light the celebs hair color in the photo above).  "The truth is, no matter how over ombre I am, none of my clients are," Stanko commented. Remember back when Drew Barrymore stepped out on the red carpet rocking intense ombre?  That was a nightmare, but ombre was born.  Since then, the look has definitely softened and become more gradual. We now have celebs like Jessica BielMila Kunis and Alexa Chung to thank for keeping the trend alive over a year later.

Ombre style has also found its way into makeup trends and nail art. Chanel uses the concept of ombre to sell their latest cream based shadows and the Sephora nail art bar offers ombre effects as a new twist on a French manicure.

Last night Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake walked the red carpet at their "Friends with Benefits" NYC premiere at the Ziegfeld Theater.  Mila donned a figure flattering red Lanvin and cast members including Emma Stone and Irina Shayk looked stunning as well. Here's the trailor:

Man of the Moment: Tim

Ladies, meet Tim, a 27 year old cutie from Hoboken, NJ.  He's a VP Portfolio Manager and loves to play ice hockey, go to the gym and snowboard.  And yes – he's single! What’s in your medicine cabinet?

  1. Gillette Mach 3 Razor- no cuts, no crying, smooth every time…. Just like me, lol.
  2. Neutrogena After Shave Balm
  3. Neutrogena Face Lotion with SPF 15- Look Young, Live YOUNG!
  4. Degree for Men Deodorant- keeps you cool in the hottest of situations
  5. John Varvatos Cologne- My little secret (not so much anymore I guess) but remember smell is the #1 sense tied to memory… the ladies love it and they always come back for more.

What product can’t you live without and why?

Most products I can go without, but a toothbrush is a must have. Your breath can turn south at any moment  (food, coffee, morning breath, etc.) and who knows when your lady wants to get intimate or if you are going to meet your next big client. The last thing you need is your breath barking something nasty.

How would you describe your grooming habits?

I’m a clean cut guy… clean shave, clean cut hair and well dressed (clean those shoes). A shape up (haircut) normally happens every 2-3 weeks and I try for a straight razor shave (if you can find a barber in NJ with the license). Keep those lines tight, just like your game.

My people at The Hoboken Man (www.hobokenman.com) take care of the basics for me, even a clean up between haircuts. I think the ladies appreciate and see effort in a well-kept man. It shows discipline and self-worth.

Now be honest, how would a woman describe your grooming habits?

All the ladies in my life, past and present, I think would agree, that I always smell good and I keep it fresh!

When prepping to go out on a date what are the three things you make sure you do?

1. Shower up!

2. The secret weapon- a dash of cologne--- A little Johnnie V. to get lucky!

3. A RESERVATION- you need to have a good game plan. Don’t even tell her, make it a surprise, but make it good and make it count!

If you could have one night with any celebrity who would it be and why?  More importantly, what would you do?

Male Celeb: Some guys may think Tom Brady, because lets be honest, he is the man (Super Bowls and Supermodels), but I would like to spend a day with Leo DeCaprio. The lady-killer himself, hasn’t had a boring day in his life. We’d probably just hop on a jet to some crazy island party and rock out… Talk about a wingman, this dude nails down the women in his sleep haha.

Female Celeb: Mila Kunis….for obvious reasons. This woman is a complete smoke show. I’d like to shop-hop with this one. Close down a few stores and let her get her fashion on. Seriously, what chick wouldn’t like that? She seems like she is a good time no matter what. Later on our date, we would get those endorphins and adrenaline pumping at the gun range (www.westsidepistolrange.com), Now that’s something to get her excited in all sorts of ways! Now that the momentum has been built the night is only going to get better from there…  Hopefully she sees this and I get a call next week to implement the plan!

What’s the first thing you notice about a woman?

I’m going to be honest. I look at 4 things right off the bat. Top to bottom-

1. Eyes- The gateway to the soul. Evil or Angel?

2. Smile- I’m a funny guy so the smile comes out a lot.

3. Boobs- Big isn’t always better, but no one is going to complain about some big bombs.

4. Bootie- A girl’s bootie can tell me a lot. Good in bed, yes or no? Healthy, yes or no? Athletic, yes or no? That’s why boobs aren’t such a big item in my book.

When it comes to a woman’s beauty what’s your sweet spot?

All women are beautiful in their own way, but it’s a combination of book and streets smarts that hits my sweetspot. Intelligent, confident and ambitious women are what I look for. I know one day she is going to manage her own business or even our awesome family.

Girl Crush: Mila Kunis, A Guide to Her Complete Oscar Look

I have a total girl crush on Mila Kunis.  I think she's totally sexy without even trying and was so excited to see her pull off a girly yet sultry look at the Oscars last night. Her hair and makeup were on point complimenting that gorge lavender Elie Saab gown.  Here's the full scoop on how to get her look:

Tracey Levy of Lancome gave her a sultry overall look to compliment her gown.  The focus was on her eyes.  Products used: Lancome Color Design 5 Pan Palette in Coral Crush, Color Design Eye Shadow in Impress, Le Crayon Khol Eyeliner in Black and Hypnose Waterproof Custom Volume Mascara in Black.  A dusting of Blush Subtil in Sheer Amourose and hint of Color Fever Gloss in Blazing Pink combined with La Laque Fever Lipshine in Lucent Nude topped it off.

Tresemme Celeb Stylist, Mara Roszak, gave Mila a romantic updo.  She began by applying Tresemme Naturals Mousse to her wet hair and rough dried it parting it to the side.  Then, with a 1" curling iron she waved the hair away from the face.  Once all curled, she brushed them out with her fingertips and pulled Mila's hair softly into a messy chignon that was structured, yet unstructured.

VIP Pass to "The Industry:" Seventeen

I first met Heather Muir of Seventeen when she was working for Cosmopolitan.  As a publicist, I took her out for mani's and pedi's at the Townhouse Spa and couldn't wait to chat with her because she just took my old job at Cosmo and I couldn't wait to tell her how much fun she was about to have.  Now, she's flourished in the industry and is climbing her way to the top! Check out what she has to say: What’s your favorite part of working at Seventeen? I adore working with teen girls. They’re refreshing and willing to take big beauty risks. They make beauty fun—exactly what it should be! Who’s your celebrity crush? Guy: James Franco and Channing Tatum are neck and neck. Girl: It’s a three-way tie...Megan Fox, Mila Kunis, and Kim Kardashian (I have a thing for brunettes!). What are your must-have beauty products? There are too many to name. Every time I go into the beauty closet, I walk out with another favorite. I use Proactiv to keep my skin clear. Right now, I’m obsessed with Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint... For mascara, I’m a Maybelline Define-A-Lash girl. I use By Terry Rose Balm on my lips. I take bubble baths with Kai Body Wash. I don’t use much product in my hair, but when I wear it curly, Motions Foaming Wrap Lotion gives me the best waves. The list goes on and on. I’m a product junkie. I’ve been collecting since my internship. There’s no way I’ll ever be able to use all the products I have under my bathroom sink in my lifetime. What advice would you give to people trying to get into the industry today? Get an amazing internship on your resume so you can make great contacts. It was my golden ticket! (And work really, really hard!) Confess! Your biggest beauty sin: Falling asleep with makeup on. YIKES, I know. Even with face wipes on my nightstand, sometimes I’m just too tired! What’s your guiltiest pleasure? Weekly: mani/pedi/blowout. I save lash extensions and spray tans (Anna at Rita Hazan is the best!) for special occasions :)
