This morning on NBC's New York Live, I had the pleasure of working with Sara Gore and Lauren Scala. I originally pitched a general "New Beauty Gadgets" piece, but the producer (my friend Jess) gave me the challenge of finding new beauty gadgets that were all under $100. Of course face masks and hair masks are expected, but in this segment, we chat about new products and techniques that'll make your self-care routine even more pampering than it already is. Right before the holiday weekend, NBC New York Live ran my "Zen Fashion" segment. Since I predominately focus on beauty and wellness, this was different for me and a lot of fun! One of my favorite things about working with New York Live is shooting field segments with Joelle Garguilo. She's full of positive energy, a real hustler and we just have the best time on set together. While we've shot many beauty segments together in the past, this was by far the most fun. If you watch NBC, then you might have already seen the promo commercial I'm hosting about "Clear the Shelters," a campaign where animal shelters across the country will be offering low cost or waived adoption fees on Saturday, August 19th. When the email came in asking me to host and I saw that they wanted me to interview a veterinarian and help promote animal adoption, I was over the moon. You guys know how I feel about helping animals and hosting with NBC is a career dream. As an animal activist and supporter of the campaign, I have to fill you guys in on how you can participate.
