The Products That Helped My Skin Heal After A Chemical Peel

I needed all the help I could get!

For two weeks after my chemical peel, my skin was super high maintenance.  These are the products that helped to calm and heal my skin as well as show face in public.

SkinMedica Hydrating Complex & Restorative Ointment

Since I was documenting the progression of my peel on my InstaStory, my publicist friend saw I was in trouble and sent these over.  I love the lightweight texture of each and was able to reapply them throughout the day without feeling buildup on my skin.  And you know what, they worked like magic.  I saw a difference in the healing process almost immediately and within 24 hours of use, I felt like my skin was at at a turning point for the better.  I wish I knew about them pre-peel so I could have used them the whole time!

SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Gel Mask

I've always loved this product and use it randomly when my skin isn't suffering post-procedure.  After cleansing my face each night, I applied a thick layer of this gel mask on my skin and went to bed.

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Powder

I love everything by IT Cosmetics, but never had a reason to test out this new powder.  When I looked in my beauty closet to try to find a product to cover up redness it was starring back at me.  Match made in heaven.  The lightweight powder transformed my pink and in some areas reddish skin tone into an even toned canvas.  It's hard to try to cover up redness when your skin is flaking, because most products end up making your face look dirty, but a little bit of this worked well.

Mario Badescu Botanical Exfoliating Scrub

I've been disregarding everything I normally use on my skin except for this.  On day four, I lightly exfoliated my face with this.  It's so gentle that it literally just dusted off any dead skin without leaving it any more irritated than it already was.

StarSkin Hydrating Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Face Mask

To be honest, I used a plethora of hydrating face masks throughout the week, but this one was the most impressive.  After letting it sit for 15 minutes, I pat in any excess formula and my skin looked alive again without being sticky.
