We had the chance to sit down with Country Music Star, Jana Kramer, a month before the CMA's!

If you were to start every day with an intention, what would it be?

Positivity.  Try to be positive.

Congratulations on your partnership with Colgate! Can you tell us more about it?

I partnered with Colgate Optic White Express White Toothpaste for the 49th CMA awards. I’ve been a Colgate girl all my life. I had braces twicetoo. Straight teeth and a white smile, that’s my thing, especially when finding a “mate”. My husband has a perfect smile too. Colgate has always been the product that I use in my family and I turned my husband into a Colgate lover. Your smile is everything; it’s your personality. You don’t want to hide that.

What are some of your favorite beauty must-haves?

I love mascara and a good lip. Go to mascara is CoverGirl and it works the best for me. I also love Anastasia Brown for my brows. I love a good Bobbi Brown bronzer.

So we hear you’re having a baby girl... Congratulations!  Any changes to your beauty regimen?

I’m not allowed to use any acne medicines and pregnant women are obviously more hormonal so I have more hormonal breakouts so that’s definitely frustrating. If you get a great moisturizer that helps with it, so I use Lancome Absolue. It’s not too greasy and it’s not too much. It has a really nice base to it. Everyone’s always like “oh my god you’re glowing” and I’m like no I’m sweating.  So less makeup, less is more when you’re pregnant.

Where do you pull your inspiration from for your music?

My inspirations change all the time. It could be about a past break up, or it could be about my husband, or maybe it could be a breakup my friend went through. It’s everyday life.

How are you balancing your career and family life?

I think we do a really good job at it. Weddon’t like to go more than a week apart. He’s sacrificed a lot. On my off times, I makedsure to accommodate to his schedule. It’s definitely hard, but we do a really good job of making it work.

Who’s been your biggest inspiration throughout your singing career?

I grew up listening to Patsy Cline, but honestly my biggest inspiration is my fans, even though that sounds cheesy. I love hearing their stories. They inspire to get up on the stage.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten and who was it from?

It was from my mother and she said, “don’t ever let anyone take your light”.

Beauty is ______.
