Eating clean is one of the most important parts of my lifestyle.  However, when it comes to my beauty regimen, I can't say that clean skincare is top-of-mind.  As a beauty writer, I test almost everything no matter what the ingredients are.  If it works, I'll talk about it.  Lately, the more I understand the importance of simplicity in overall wellness, the more I respect beauty brands who create efficacious products using minimal ingredients.

I recently received a mailing of Silk Therapeutics, a clean skincare line that uses limited ingredients with pure liquid silk being the main ingredient throughout the collection.  It helps lock in moisture and protect the potency of other active ingredients while eliminating the need for harsh chemicals, preservatives and synthetic fillers.  Sign me up!

The collection includes:

·        Fine Line Lifting Film (ingredients: ONLY silk and vitamin C!)

·        Silk Eye Revive (ingredients: water, silk, caffeine, vitamin c, sodium anisate, rosehip oil)

·        Silk Intensive C Serum (ingredients: water, silk, vitamin C, sodium hyaluronate, aspen bark extract, lemongrass essential oil)

·        Silk Renewing Peel (ingredients: water, silk, glycolic acid, lactic acid, lemongrass essential oil)

I particularly like the Intensive C Serum and Renewing Peel since I'm always seeking out new peels and products with Vitamin C to help lighten my hyperpigmentation and brighten my skin.  Even though the peel uses a combination of glycolic and lactic acid, it's gentle enough for weekly use.  I noticed smoother, brighter skin after just one use.
