Exciting news! Lancome just launched Le Curler, a very well structured lash curler, and asked me to be part of their video series called, "Chronicles of A Curler Girl." My Photo Shoot with Silhouette
Yesterday I had the honor to to act as a model and partake in a photo shoot with Silhouette, a brand dedicated to creating rimless eyewear, for their look book. I was so excited, but at the same time super nervous, because as you know, I'm no model!
Even though I do TV segments and feel comfortable in front of that camera, being in front of a camera like this is completely different. The photographer, Andreas Hofer, was a saint. He coached me through the 2 1/2 hour shoot and made me feel really confident. We shot on top of a roof deck downtown that over looked NYC. The biggest challenges – not smiling, the wind and trying to ignore all of the people who were watching!
I wrote a more in depth piece on this that will be posted next week on my column on Glamour.com with tons of behind the scenes pics. Make sure you check it out!

Behind the Scenes of My Elizabeth Arden Shoot... So SJP
This past week has been super fun! I shot a campaign for Elizabeth Arden that's going to be on BetterTV, online and in print similar to the Strivectin campaign I shot last fall. Acting as a Spokesperson and being in front of a camera is my true passion so I was completely in my element.
Thursday we shot in an office setting and in a gorgeous house in New Jersey and Friday we shot at the Elizabeth Arden store on 5th Ave and out and about in NYC. My Friday scenes were my favorite because they truly portrayed 'a day in the life.' Only for this day, I had a stylist and glam squad on hand.
I was the "girl on the go" and we filmed in and out of taxi cabs, subways and walking around the Plaza Hotel by the fountain. I felt very Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City! I can't wait to show you the video when it's out!
Now, they're taking a day and a half of footage and creating a three minute piece. It's expected to be launched late April/early May.

My Style Network Shoot
Last year I ventured out to LA to meet with talent scouts for The Style Network and E! channel right when I decided to quit my job and go freelance. Go big or go home right? Well, right away I landed myself a gig doing a segment on the Emmy red carpet for the E! channel but that was it for a while – or so I thought.
Until just last night at about 4pm I received a call from The Style Network. They quickly interviewed me asking what I carried my laptop around in (my answer: a Louis Vuitton), if I have a pair of black patent pumps (what girl doesn't, mine: Louboutins) and if I can wear my hair straight in a high pony tail (my answer: no, I won't). I thought I might lose the gig because I wouldn't budge on putting my hair up, but after all if I'm going on camera, I have to feel like myself and trust me, I don't look pretty in a high pony. They wanted me anyway and compromised letting me wear my hair down... Thank God!
We shot today with some other industry professionals from celeb stylists to designers outside in the freezing cold of Times Square. So what we're we shooting? A special for Lucky magazine's 10th anniversary on beauty and style trends of the decade. It airs on The Style Network in December so keep your eyes out.
Follow My Flirting Tips & Win Flirt! Cosmetics
In the beginning of September I wrote about my favorite Spokesperson role yet – being a "Flirting Expert" for Flirt! Cosmetics. I'm saying it was my favorite because it was perhaps the most natural to speak to and one flirting's of my fave things to do!
To celebrate the launch of the video on Flirt's You Tube Channel I'm giving away Flirt! Cosmetics! In the video I mention playing up your eyes and lips and therefore want you to follow my advice.
Three BeautySweetSpot readers will receive the ultimate flirting essentials – a tube of Flirt! It Curl Mascara (to lure your object of affection in with your eyes) and a shade of Glamourazzi Lip Lacquer (to draw attention to your pout).
To win: Follow @beautysweetspot on Twitter and Retweet my tweets about the giveaway and dish your flirting tips by commenting below. A winner will be chosen at random on Sunday, October 24th.

Live from...
After three weeks of traveling to ten cities to do sponsored TV segments, I'm back in NYC! Everyday was like ground hog day (ever see that movie?), but I loved every second of it. Check out the clip below to get a feel for what I did every morning:
My Cross Country TV Travels... The Real Deal
For the past two weeks I've been traveling the country doing TV segments in many different cities on fall beauty and fashion trends. It's been such an incredible experience – living out of a suitcase, catching up on work in airports, meeting new people everyday while trying to keep myself looking refreshed and my energy up (the biggest challenge of all).
So far I visited everywhere from Florida to Oregon and back again. Luckily, everything was pretty seamless and I even managed to somewhat adapt to time changes with the help of two of my favorite substances – coffee and red wine. It's amazing the little things New Yorkers take for granted like having convenience at our finger tips. Imagine walking around downtown Phoenix for blocks in 104 degree heat in search of a nail salon and never finding one or getting so excited checking into a hotel in Indianapolis to see the word "spa" and realizing it was just a whirlpool. And taxi cabs? Forget about it. This New Yorker doesn't rent cars because clearly she hasn't driven in years and flew her way through three cities in Florida. It was the only way!
Now, I have one more week to go and will be visiting Dallas and St. Louis. I can't wait to see what each city has to share as I've never been to any of them and can't wait to see what the news stations are like. But I will say that after witnessing the country so far, there's no place like home.
*oh and the map above... my dad drew it to keep track of where I'm going.
Behind the Scenes of My Flirt! Cosmetics Video Shoot
Yesterday I had the opportunity to be part of a Flirt! cosmetics video campaign and let me tell you, I couldn't be more excited as 'flirt' is my middle name.
We shot at the Kohls in the Jersey City mall (where Flirt! is sold) and Holly of the Flirt! PR team was my host, which made it so much fun. Holly and I talked about flirting tips and of course, which features to play up while trying to lure over your object of affection.
My answer: your eyes. Your eyes can do all the flirting! If you're a frequent BeautySweetSpot reader you know how often I use the term "eye sex." Obviously I didn't say eye sex during the Flirt! video, but hey, it works! My secret weapon: Flirt! It Curl Mascara. The wand is curved so it curls your lashes as you apply, opening your eyes allowing for better eye contact, which is key to getting your flirt on.
The online video series will be live later in the fall and I'll post it on BeautySweetSpot for you all to see!
My Campaign with BetterTV for StriVectin
Last Monday I took a break out of NYFW to film a campaign for StiVectin and BetterTV. I have to admit, so far it was one of the highlights of my career as a Spokesperson.
The ten hour shoot started at 7am at the office of Felix Mercado of Say It With Style where I was in hair and make up and met my host, Jordan Reid of RamShackleGlam. After Felix (our stylist for the day) sought through my wardrobe we headed to Yoga Works to film my first tip for feeling younger: mind and body rejuvenation.
Even thought there were tons of people in the room including producers, camera men, our makeup artist and hair stylist Deb, Felix and the StriVectin client, I felt at ease immediately and was able to put myself into the Spokesperson role because I instantly clicked with Jordan.
Next, it was time to hit the streets of Soho. (Imagine walking the streets of NYC with a camera crew following you and hairstylist touching you up every couple of minutes.) We wrapped in the BetterTV studios ten hours later. I couldn't be more grateful for landing the gig and working with the BetterTV crew! The campaign will be on BetterTV nation wide and online in November. I'll be sure to post it when it's live.
Meet Me & RapidLash this Friday
I have really exciting news! For all of my New York City readers, this Friday I will be making an appearance at Duane Reade on 35th and Broadway as a spokesperson for RapidLash. From 1pm until 7pm I will be there on behalf of the brand handing out promotional materials and free products.
RapidLash, for those of you who aren't familiar, is a lash and brow enhancement serum that I began using over a year ago. Yes, my lashes grew longer, but what amazed me the most was the way it helped me grow in my over-threaded brow. My right brow was slightly thinner than the left. Within three weeks of using RapidLash there was a significant difference. I've been using the product every night before bed since.
Therefore, I'm honored to represent the brand this Friday and hope you'll stop by to find out what all the buzz is about. Plus, I'd love to meet my readers in person!
