My Proactiv Attempt to Mix Business with Pleasure in New Orleans

Skincare, grits and ghost tours... oh my!  This past weekend I had the pleasure of joining Proactiv on a press trip to New Orleans for the American Academy of Dermatology Conference with some of my favorite beauty bloggers.  While our trip revolved around clear skin, you'd be a fool to think we didn't have a few hurricanes!  This group of girls knows how to party. Friday night we attended a cocktail party with the two dermatologists who created Proactiv, Dr. Katy Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields.  Then Saturday we explored everything the AAD conference had to offer from a pretty overwhelming exhibit floor to symposiums revolving around breakthroughs in skincare and very attractive dermatologists!  I tried to wrap my head around P acne, but decided I'll leave that up to the derms to explain.

Sunday funday was not anything like my typical Sunday fundays in NYC that normally consist of watching football with Joe, red wine and cooking (well, he cooks) a delicious Italian meal.  This Sunday, I was at the Aria Spa at the Hotel Monteleone enjoying a facial with all Proactiv products and massage.  It was such a treat!  I know I should get facials more often, but truth is, I never take the time.  My facial was so thourough I still haven't put any tinted moisturizer or bronzer on because I love how clean my pores look!

None of us really seemed to care that the Superbowl was on as we found ourselves distracted by a Voodoo shop and ghost tour.  The ghost tour was centered on folklore and even though we didn't see any actual ghosts, I really enjoyed it.  The hurricanes definitely helped.
