Achieve 2012's Hottest Beauty Trend with Got2B Powder'ful Back 2 Bed Texture Powder

Last week in the NY Times there was an article titled, "Can You Fall Out of Bed and Look Good," that focused on the idea of the latest trend of imperfection: touseled hair, smudged eyeliner and dewy skin to be exact.  Now that's my kind of look.  The makeup I can pull off, but the hair, well that always took work.  I was never the girl who was able to pull off sex-kitten hair without the help of a curling iron.... until now thanks to Got2B Powderful Back 2 Bed Texture Powder. I was introduced to it at Sundance by Celebrity Stylist, Larry Sims and right away had a million questions.  It's not a dry shampoo!  You just shake a little bit out into you hands and rub them together.  It emulsifies so you're not left with white powder in your hair and don't feel the need to run the blow dryer through it or anything.  Starting at the root, you take your hands and rub the emulsified powder through your strands down to the ends twisting and twirling your hair the whole way.

I got to try it for the first time this morning and was so impressed by what it did to my fine, straight hair that I feel like I can wake up after a Saturday night out, add the powder to my hair and go to a Sunday brunch with sexy, tousled waves.  I started with just a little bit of powder at first, but as I got more comfortable I kept adding more until I created the look I wanted.  It literally took me a minute to transform my style.  Obsessed!  This is a texture I was never able to achieve before and despite thinking the powdery substance would make my hair look matte, it still looks shiny.

Sundance with Got2B and the Beauty Girls, Where High Altitudes Make People Party

This year I had the honor of attending Sundance with Got2B and can sum up our trip with one word: exhilarating.  We stayed at the Grand Summit Hotel at Canyons Resort in Park City, Utah and each activity on our itinerary topped the last.  If I wasn't dying laughing or screaming on one adventure (snowmobiling or being transported to our hotel in a cabriolet... don't ask) I was partying like a rock star with the beauty girls.

Within an hour of arriving at the hotel the CMM PR girls, Got2B team and my fellow beauty girls were taking a funicular 9,000 feet up a mountain to an Extra party in the middle of nowhere.  Michael Cera, Mario Lopez and Ben from "The Bachelor" were there and we got acquainted as OAR preformed Jessie Mraz jumped on stage for an impromptu.  Of course, I needed to talk to Ben and asked him if he ended up with a crazy girl.  His response, "Let's just say I'm drinking a lot of Chardonnay."

Saturday started with snowmobiling.  Nervous at first, we all dressed in ridiculous snow suits, helmets and goggles and then, we owned the mountains.  I'm so glad we went because it's not something I would have ever signed myself up for and I loved it!  That afternoon we stopped by the Miami Oasis VIP Suite on Main St. where Got2B's Celeb Stylist, Larry Sims (who I'm obsessed with as he used to be a backup dancer for Missy Elliot) was styling some A-Listers.  Maria Menounos was there while we were, but my fave sighting that afternoon was Cheryl Hines.  That night we attended a dinner at the St. Regis for the launch of Got2B's new product (you'll hear about it soon) and then thought we were 21 again when we danced to DJ Kaskade at TAO.   Funnest. Night. Ever!

Sunday funday was taken to new heights (literally) in Utah.  The owners of Ainsworth and The Hill here in NYC threw a party for the football games at The Sky Lodge Hotel with a DJ and outdoor rooftop area with fire pits.  That night we hopped on a sleigh ride (picture Santa's sleigh being pulled by a tractor) and went up a about 10,000 feet to a yurt!  A yurt, where we ate an incredible meal, (they even had something delish and vegetarian prepped for me) and rode back down in the sleigh.  You have to ready my friend Amber's post, because she captured the funniest moments of the trip and I can't stop laughing.  As for movies... maybe next year.

My Date with Zac Posen

This morning I had breakfast with Zac Posen in his NYC showroom.  No, really – I did.  My favorite designer of all time.  I've been to two of his shows in the past, but never in his showroom – laughing with him, asking him questions and really getting to see the true passion behind his work.

Last season he launched his Z Spoke line during New York Fashion Week, but this season the talented American designer taking both of his collections to Paris so I am honored to have seen the collection before it showed on the runway.

Check out the video of the complete walk through!

Of course we talked beauty!  This was the first runway show Mr. Posen's ever done where the models let their hair down.  "It made the clothing very approachable and readable and was one of the easiest stylistic changes I could make with the collection," commented Posen.

With some of the most sought after models in the world in the look book like Coco Rocha and Crystal Ren, the hair was effortless and rock and roll inspired – or as Zac likes to call it, "rich girl hair."

Celebrity Stylist, Larry Sims, of got2b created the look for today's private presentation with the brand's new collection called Rockin' It.  His go-to product?   Got2b Rockin' It Dry Shampoo.

You'll die over this video of Zac Posen describing "rich girl" hair.
