Ah yes... you've heard it before, but I'm going to say it again. Your eyes are the windows to the soul, but did you know that your brows can frame your whole face? In between appointments it's important to keep them groomed. I got the 411 from makeup artist and brow guru Robyn Cosio of Sally Hershberger NY and LA on how to keep them in tip top shape. Here's how her clients Kate Bosworth, Nicole Kidman and Christina Applegate have been keeping their peepers in check:
- Give Yourself Guidance - Don't just start plucking away. Instead, use a pencil to fill in your desired shape so you don't end up overtweezing.
- Add Color - Fill them in to give them an extra pop. You want your brows to look noticeable. If you're blonde, make them one shade darker than your natural color and if you're brunette they should be one to two shades lighter than your hair color. Try products from Brow Diva. They make the ultimate brow grooming kit and you can also purchase products individually.
- Maximize Your Lashes - Of course you can add tons of mascara to compliment your newly shaped brows, but enhance your natural lashes with RapidLash, $50. It's perfect for the summer because your natural lashes will be so long, you won't have to use mascara and worry about it running down your face on the beach.
