Last night I had the chance to meet with Jewelry Designer, Patty Tobin at her NYC showroom. It was love at first sight! Not just with her pieces, but with her magnetic personality and energetic "I can do anything attitude" as well. "As an entrepeneur, I truly believe I can do anything I'm passionate about and I've been passionate about jewelry since I was a little girl," Patty said. Starting out her career owning a marketing consulting firm it didn't take Patty long before she found her new love of designing jewelry. And that, has been just as successful as the firm.
Her main influence has been Count Falco Di Verdura, who throughout the 1930's created Coco Chanel's jewelry line. Beginning with jewelry designing as a hobby the business naturally took off when the owner and buyer of a boutique called Circles in Albany, NY began to carry her line. Today, Patty has her own boutique in NYC and keeping price points affordable she's known for her nesting necklaces, gem stone and pearl cuffs, chain necklaces, and torsades.
