Get the Look: Kate Spade Spring 2012

When I saw the images from the Kate Spade Spring/Summer 2012 presentation that was held in NYC last week I had to find out more about the dewey peach cheeks and well defined eyes as the look was wearable and super chic. "The overall goal of the makeup was about keeping the skin natural yet dewey and glowing," remarked Jouer Lead Makeup Artist, Neil Scibelli.

No foundation was needed as Scibelli concentrated on hydrating the models skin with Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint and setting it with mineral powder for a silky finish.  The trick to defining the eyes was after using shadow all over the lid and a darker shade in the crease to create a smokey eye look, he used an eye definer brush and took the darker shade (cappuccino in this case) and thinly smudged it out along the top and lower lash line.  "This adds stronger definition to the eyes and lashes."  Several coats of Jouer Noir mascara was used on the top and bottom lashes.

The cheeks were my favorite part.  I had to find out about the blush color – Jouer's Fawn Tint – a cream tint that was applied to the apples of the cheeks and then blended out and up.  To compliment the the Kate Spade collection, Jouer Monique Lipstick was used, a melon/coral shade.
