I've been covering NY Fashion Week since my editorial job with Cosmopolitan magazine five years ago now and each season I have a new found appreciation for the art that goes on behind the scenes.  This year, I focused more on video and mixed it into my editorial because I wanted you to experience backstage just like I do. Pro Tips on Achieving a Seductive Pout at The Academy of the Art University

Backstage at The Academy of the Art University in Lincoln Center I discovered one makeup tip that was well worth doing a whole post around!  Let's just say it's very BeautySweetSpot!  This one focuses all on the lips so pay attention and pucker up! The models were sporting imperfectly done perfect lips and makeup artist, Janessa Pare' of Aveda, taught me how to make your lipstick look like it was just kissed off.  Her key product: Aveda's Lip Glaze in Raspberry Tea.  MWAH!  Check it out:

Endless Eye Candy at the Tim Hamilton Redux, You're Welcome

After a covering backstage for Costello Tagliapietra at Milk Studios, I wondered up to the 8th floor and found myself pleasantly surprised by what I found (to say the least).  The sounds of music flooded the halls and I entered a room full of gorgeous men – yes, eye sex worthy.  Let's just say my job of reporting on beauty trends was long forgotten. The room was full of about 30 male models rocking the latest by Tim Hamilton drinks in hand, laughing and talking with each other.  I felt like I was at a cocktail party, some even made me feel like I was at a fraternity formal.  The DJ spun club music and took a break to allow a solo guitarist perform. Photographers were walking in between the models to capture the moment and I, well I just decided to mingle, Belevedere and cranberry in hand.  What girl wouldn't?

Of course, I interviewed one of the finest gentlemen about the collection, drinking while modeling and what he finds sexy about a woman.  His name?  Who cares.

Vaseline's #1 Draft Pick: Michael Strahan

I'm excited to be able to write about one of my favorite football players of all time, Michael Strahan. Even though I'm a hard core Dallas Cowboys fan (by birth), I met him once at a party and he was very nice, down to earth and fun to be around.  And yes, I might have been able to fit my whole finger in between his two front teeth, but I still think he's cute.  Everyone has their flaws right? Vaseline Men recently signed the Superbowl star as their latest spokesperson and I had to share the video below with you.  I think he's just as charming in this video as he is in real life (try not to get distracted by his gleaming arm muscles that must be coated in Vaseline!).
