Glamour.com Launches Young & Posh Blogger Network with Yours Truly

Hey BeautySweetSpot readers!  Today’s a big day… I’m so excited to announce a big partnership that I’ve been waiting to tell you about for a few months. I’ve officially partnered with Glamour.com and joined their Young & Posh network!

So what does this mean?  If you go on Glamour.com today you’ll see a huge launch on their homepage that features BeautySweetSpot along with 14 other top beauty and style bloggers from all over the world.  I’ll be writing for Glamour.com two to three times a week and you’ll be seeing the BeautySweetSpot logo along with clips and photos from me on the site and in the magazine.

I’m honored to be a part of the network and to partner with such a fab magazine that provides positive, informative content and highlights women and their readers in such empowering ways.  I’ll keep you updated on my appearances at Glamour events and other exciting news as the months go on.

My Style Network Shoot

Last year I ventured out to LA to meet with talent scouts for The Style Network and E! channel right when I decided to quit my job and go freelance.  Go big or go home right? Well, right away I landed myself a gig doing a segment on the Emmy red carpet for the E! channel but that was it for a while – or so I thought.

Until just last night at about 4pm I received a call from The Style Network.  They quickly interviewed me asking what I carried my laptop around in (my answer: a Louis Vuitton), if I have a pair of black patent pumps (what girl doesn’t, mine: Louboutins) and if I can wear my hair straight in a high pony tail (my answer: no, I won’t).  I thought I might lose the gig because I wouldn’t budge on putting my hair up, but after all if I’m going on camera, I have to feel like myself and trust me, I don’t look pretty in a high pony.  They wanted me anyway and compromised letting me wear my hair down… Thank God!

We shot today with some other industry professionals from celeb stylists to designers outside in the freezing cold of Times Square.  So what we’re we shooting? A special

In the beginning of September I wrote about my favorite Spokesperson role yet – being a “Flirting Expert” for Flirt! Cosmetics.  I’m saying it was my favorite because it was perhaps the most natural to speak to and one flirting’s of my fave things to do!

To celebrate the launch of the video on Flirt’s You Tube Channel I’m giving away Flirt! Cosmetics!  In the video I mention playing up your eyes and lips and therefore want you to follow my advice.

Three BeautySweetSpot readers will receive the ultimate flirting essentials – a tube of Flirt! It Curl Mascara (to lure your object of affection in with your eyes) and a shade of Glamourazzi Lip Lacquer (to draw attention to your pout).

To win: Follow @beautysweetspot on Twitter and Retweet my tweets about the giveaway and dish your flirting tips by commenting below.  A winner will be chosen at random on Sunday, October 24th.

Live from…

After three weeks of traveling to ten cities to do sponsored TV segments, I’m back in NYC! Everyday was like ground hog day (ever see that movie?), but I loved every second of it.  Check out the clip below to get a feel for what I did every morning:

My Cross Country TV Travels… The Real Deal

For the past two weeks I’ve been traveling the country doing TV segments in many different cities on fall beauty and fashion trends.  It’s been such an incredible experience – living out of a suitcase, catching up on work in airports, meeting new people everyday while trying to keep myself looking refreshed and my energy up (the biggest challenge of all).

So far I visited everywhere from Florida to Oregon and back again.  Luckily, everything was pretty seamless and I even managed to somewhat adapt to time changes with the help of two of my favorite substances – coffee and red wine.  It’s amazing the little things New Yorkers take for granted like having convenience at our finger tips.  Imagine walking around downtown Phoenix for blocks in 104 degree heat in search of a nail salon and never finding one or getting so excited checking into a hotel in Indianapolis to see the word “spa” and realizing it was just a whirlpool.  And taxi cabs?  Forget about it.  This New Yorker doesn’t rent cars because clearly she hasn’t driven in years and flew her way through three cities in Florida.  It was the only way!

Now, I have one more week to go and will be visiting Dallas and St. Louis.  I can’t wait to see what each city has to share as I’ve never been to any of them and can’t wait to see what the news stations are like.  But I will say that after witnessing the country so far, there’s no place like home.

*oh and the map above… my dad drew it to keep track of where I’m going.
