Yesterday I went backstage before the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which was held at the 69th Regiment Armory in NYC, and got the scoop on the secrets behind the Angel’s glowing skin, bombshell waves and scored an interview with high fashion model, Liu Wen.

When I saw the images from the Kate Spade Spring/Summer 2012 presentation that was held in NYC last week I had to find out more about the dewey peach cheeks and well defined eyes as the look was wearable and super chic.
Selena Gomez looked stunning last night at the MTV Video Music Awards as she had an honorable role to play, hosting the pre-show. While I thought her black mini and updo made her look a little too mature (Britney anyone?), I like how she kept her makeup natural. I got the scoop from her makeup artist, Karan Mitchell on how to get the look.
“To compliment her lace gown, I went for a classic and clean route with Selena’s makeup,” Mitchell states. The look consisted of bronzed skin, smoldering eyes, bold brows and a metallic pink lip.
Tom Pecheux created a golden California girl look by enhancing the models natural features with sunkissed contoured cheeks, false lashes and a bit of pink on the lip.

Beach chic sums up Mara Hoffman’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection and the hair and makeup effortlessly complimented the style. Fedoras, sunglasses, bright patterns, dewy skin and bohemian hair were spotted on the catwalk at Pier 59 studio.
“Even though they’re all wearing the same look, the model’s are all so racially diverse, they bring their own individuality it,” stated Lottie, Makeup Forever‘s lead makeup artist. Three different hair ‘do’s were created on the 15 models by Martin-Christopher Harper for Redken and Cutler. The inspiration: A woman on the Caymen Islands just coming from a leisurely day at the beach. It was a look we can all relate to, very organic. From texturized high buns to buns at the nape of the neck and loose waves all of the women had the same theme. The key to mastering the beachy look is texture, texture, texture.
