As seen on the Spring/Summer 2010 runways and on some of the hottest celebs, the side swept braid is a simple, yet chic style to sport this spring. Celeb stylist, Amoy Pitters (who’s styled A-lister’s like Rihanna), created this look for the runways and gave me the scoop on how to replicate at home.
To create texture apply a volumizing mousse from your roots to the ends. Blow dry your hair, then use a 1-2″ curling iron and create loose waves throughout the crown. Next, using a comb, sweep the hair to one side and create a braid. Allow fly-aways for a soft, bohemian-chic look. Finish with a light holding spray.
This look is perfect for a summer bar-b-que, happy hour or even a date.
