Instant Manicure

I don’t know about you, but I have a hard time keeping polish on my nails.  It may be because I’m constantly typing, but as soon as I have one chip, I pick away at the rest of it.  Therefore, I end up getting manicures weekly and polish changes in between, which adds up to about $25 on my real nails per week!

Recently, I came across the Runway Collection by Revlon, which (believe it or not) are natural looking press-ons that are already painted with subtle designs. I know you’re probably thinking… press-ons?  Believe me when I tell you they’re not like the old school ones you used to try on when you were young.

I really like them because they’re short, not rounded or square, but somewhere in between and the nail beds are naturally curved so they look real when they’re on.  The first time I wore them was two weeks ago to my friends wedding.  I wasn’t planning on it, but not surprisingly, my manicure chipped and they were my rescue. They’re only $8 per pack and last up to ten days. Check them out.

I have a set at home that my friend gave to me to try out. My real nails are pretty healthy so I am scared to put these Revlon ones on. I have some questions – how hard were they to take off? What did you use to take them off? And did they ruin your natural nails?

    Hey Alysia,

I kept mine on for about eight days and after that amount of time the glue was loose enough to the point where they were ready to come off. They do last 7-10 days depending on how well you take care of them. I did get a manicure the same day I took them off and my natural nails are in perfect condition. I wouldn’t suggest wrestling with the glue or trying to rip them off before they’re ready to come off on their own because yes, that can damage your real nails. Hope that helps!

Jeannine – thanks for replying to my comment. I think I will do what you did and save them for an emergency. I have a mani and pedi scheduled for this Sunday so I will stick to that. The real problem now is what colour to choose…

Good luck with your color decision! It’s the end of summer so take advantage of the fun summer colors while you can. Let me know how you make out with the Revlon Runway Collection. They really are fab!
