Believe it or not it is possible to eat your way to healthier hair… and skin… and nails. I’m was addicted to Viviscal, which are hair growth supplements (and actually stopped taking them because Bob was growing like cray), but after talking with Dr. Jessica Wu, author of Feed Your Face, I had to share what I learned about how your food choices affect your hair and complexion. It’s intriguing and really makes sense. After all, we are what we eat.

This years Met Gala revealed the exhibit, “PUNK: from Chaos to Couture,” which allowed our favorite celebs to donned punk-inspired beauty and fashion looks and some of them really went all out. Of course, Nicole Richie killed it with gray hair, a burgendy lip shade and a manicure to-die-for. Other celebs like Blake Lively and Emmy Russom had nail art worth coveting.

Despite the fact that Carey Mulligan‘s been showing off a more minimalistic look on the red carpet for her The Great Gatsby premieres than her glamorized character Daisy in the film, they both have one thing in common – the love of being draped in diamonds. After all, they are a girls best friend. For the NYC premiere on Wednesday at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts she reportedly wore $131,500 worth of Tiffany & Co. jewels. As for her makeup, I spoke with her artist, Georgie Eisdell, to get the scoop on how to get her look.

I’m always excited to find new, indie beauty brands and in honor of Small Business Month, I thought it would be fun to explore some of those. One of the reasons I’m so proud to celebrate is because my dad is a successful small business owner. Instead of hearing it from me, I got celebs like Molly Sims and Kelly Rutherford along with celeb glam squads to dish their favorite small beauty businesses. Check them out!
