Boost Your Locks Tips & Nioxin Giveaway

Let’s face it, we live in a society where voluminous blow outs and Victoria’s Secret like manes are coveted.  Long, healthy hair is attractive.  Most American woman aren’t blessed with this type of hair.  Let’s be honest.  Therefore, I turn to clip-in extensions to achieve those results for TV appearances and Spokesperson roles.  But for about the past month I’ve been testing out a three step hair care system by Nioxin.  It consists of a shampoo, conditioner and scalp treatment for fine, thin, chemically treated hair.  Yep, that’s me.  With daily use, it’s building thickness and adding strength.

We all know great hair starts at the scalp and that’s where I feel these products working.  I only use the shampoo and scalp treatment at the scalp because any conditioner would weigh my roots down, but the products are invigorating so they must be doing something right.

I’ve always had fine, thin hair, but for some women, hair thins over time and there are many causes from stress to genetics.  As a matter of fact, the average age women deal with thinning hair is between 25 and 25 years old and 90% of the time it’s due to genetics.  So don’t stress if you’re one of them.  It will only make the problem worse!  Try this Nioxin system.

I’m giving away 10 of them!  Follow me and RT the giveaway for a chance to win.  Comment below and let me know when your first aging/hair thinning moment was. Ten winners will be chosen at random via twitter on Monday, November 22nd.  Good luck!

I first discovered Nioxin about 5 years ago. I was on some medication that caused hair loss and my stylist turned me on to this product. It worked wonders and helped my self esteem when I really needed it. @goalmom5

I was virtually bald the first couple years of my life with just a little of that peach fuzz hair that some babies have. So like you, I’ve always had fine, thin hair. However, since it’s curly it tends to look fuller than it is and people are surprised when they feel it. The first time someone commented on it was my first realization of how thin it actually is.

  3. Regina says:

I have always had fine thin hair, my grandmother has had to wear a wig since she was about 24! I first noticed mine when I tried to grow my hair long and realized that I looked like one of those Chinese Crested dogs LOL.

  4. My first aging/hair thinning moment was really early I got my first relaxer when I was 8 or 9 then teenage years I started dying my hair and all that damage has build up. As I get older I noticed my hair is thinner, dry and brittle.

  5. Valerie C. says:

After I had my 2 children I noticed it was thinner. Then a partial hysterectomy at 40 made it shed a lot more. My hair is fine in texture and highlighted. This sounds great :)

I started losing my hair 2 years back when I did a rebonding treatment on my hair. I used to have such thick hair with so much volume but now my hair falls like crazy plus the quality has also detoriated..no more silkiness..no more shine :( I am so skeptical of any hair treatments now!!

Hi! I have just recently experienced my first hair loss or thinning. I am 42 and had Lap Band weight loss surgery in March this year. I didn’t follow the protein guide lines as closely as I should have. I tried, but to my surprise, I lost a lot of hair! I am not bald, but it is a big change for me. Anyway, I have enjoyed your review on this product. I think I may benefit from it, so I will be keeping my eye out for it. Thank you for the info!

I started noticing my hair was thinning about 2 years ago as I was drying it at the top I noticed how much of my scalp I could see. Even though I have thick hair, I would love to win one of these systems. Since I recently donated my hair it would be great to have some help growing it out so I can enjoy my long hair again. And then of course donate again since it takes so many donations to make one wig! =) Love you J!!

  19. Maria says:
