Back in February I posted about taking a trip to Sephora to have my skin analyzed by DDF’s Skin Evaluation System. Of course I knew I was fighting fine lines and had some discoloration, but what I found out was that my main concern should be my pores! Since then, I’ve been testing a variety of DDF skincare products (never mind being super self conscious about my ugly pores) and had to share the results.

Last week I was working on an exciting project for SheKnows TV with Candace Cameron Bure (yes, DJ Tanner from Full House) and Style Expert, Felix Mercado in Arizona. Over three days, we filmed a makeover series, sponsored by Aveeno, seriously tweaking the looks of two victims who were much more beautiful than they gave themselves credit for. As soon as I saw them I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them! Let’s just say that one of them piled on foundation like there was no tomorrow and the other was very plain Jane.

It’s Hunger Games Day! I was suppossed to see it at midnight last night and my flight from Arizona got in a bit late so I didn’t make it! So anxious! In honor, I’m giving you the scoop on what it’s like to work with Jennifer Lawrence straight from her makeup artist, Jillian Dempsey, the Avon Global Creative Color Director, who worked with her for the LA Premeire. She transformed the girl in the woods into a head turning, red carpet beauty with intoxicating eyes.

Backstage at NYFW for Spring 2012, one of the most striking things I saw (that I really liked) was rose gold strategically placed in the models hair at Peter Som. The highlights were drastic for the runway so the overall look hinted at a punky edge in the girls otherwise flowing waves. Of course leave it to a celeb to step out with the look on the first day of Spring, Mad Men Actress, Miss January Jones.

When I hit the gym I try to change up my routine so I don’t get bored and am constantly working different muscles. When I can, I take classes, but when they don’t fit into my schedule I’ll do a half hour of cardio and then weasel my way into the weight area (which is normally pretty crowded), carve my space out and do my thing. In other words, I push myself to do exercises I learned in classes or from my former trainer (who I miss dearly). Here’s a simple, yet killer routine I learned from my trainer that guarantees toned legs.
