How to Perfect A Flawless Face

Personally I’m not a huge fan of wearing a ton of makeup, a little mascara and gloss and I’ll call it a day in a second.  However, I’ve had to learn how to do my own face for TV because believe it or not they don’t even put as little as a blush brush to your face before you go on air.  That being said, I can proudly say I’ve learned how to fake flawless skin.  You need three things: a yellow-based liquid concealor for under your eyes, a heavier, stickier green-based concealor for blemishes and a light foundation. Many women make the mistake of using the same concealor for everything, however different textures and pigments work better in different areas.

Under Eye
Rid dark circles underneath your eyes with a yellow-based liquid concealor that has light reflecting properties. Dab three dots in a triangular shape under each eye with your ring finger and use a brush or your ring finger to blend.  The ring finger is the weakest finger and therefore doesn’t pull the skin when blending and placing the concealor in a triangular shape will

Win A ReFlex Safety MP3 Holder Band so Your Boobs Don’t Break Your iPod

I have a confession: sometimes when I’m at the gym I place my iPod in between my cleavage so I can lift free weights. I have to admit, it worked well and “the girls” kept it in place , until one day when the screen went white.  At first, I didn’t relate the problem to my cleavage.  Why would I?  But it turns out, my boobs broke my iPod!

Allow me to explain – My iPod still plays music, but I can’t see anything on the screen at all, which is beyond frustrating.  When I brought it to the MAC store for an explanation I was told that it got wet.  Which can only mean one thing – it broke due to the sweat that drips down my cleavage in my sports bra day after day.  It’s official, my boobs broke my iPod.

Lesson learned, get an arm band!  But don’t think I haven’t tried them before.  Some brands, like the Nike ones are too big for my arm and slide down to my wrist.  I found a good one – ReFlex Safety MP3 Holder Band, $9.95 that

Latest Obsession: Paddywax Library Candles

Call me a geek, but as an English major in college I look at authors and poets as celebrities.  It’s not often I get star studded, but if I met one of my favorite authors, I would probably be speechless.  Despite the fact that I’ve analyzed their work and written thesises on them, I would probably not know exactly where to start or what to say.

This past weekend at Sundance I went into a celebrity swag suite and discovered Paddywax candles and immediately fell in love with the concept of their Library Collection.  Each scent is inspired by the works of famous autors like Jane Austen, Edgar Allen Poe, Walt Whitman and Henry David Thoreau.

Austen is made up of notes of gardenia, tuberose and jasmine, which smells romantic like her novels.  My favorite is Poe, which is blended with cardamom, absynthe and sandalwood.  I truely covet my Poe candle because it not only smells good, but inspires me.

Man of the Moment: Dan

Ladies, let me introduce you to Dan, a 26 year-old accountant from Long Branch, NJ who describes his relationship status as “in it for the long haul.”  What a guy!  And I know his girlfriend, lucky lady!  He loves sports, fantasy football, exercise, outdoor activities, going to the beach and hanging out with buddies.  Here’s a sneak peek inside his medicine cabinet and mind:

What’s in your medicine cabinet?

I don’t have a medicine cabinet, but if I did this is what would be put in it:  Old Spice High Endurance Deodorant, Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion, Gillette Shaving Gel, Colgate Toothpaste, Burberry Cologne and after shave

What product can’t you live without and why?

Old Spice High Endurance Deodorant – for a guy that’s constantly moving, I need a deodorant that will last and Old Spice is the best there is.

How would you describe your grooming habits?

I’m very simple when it comes to grooming. I’m definitely only a soap, deodorant and cologne kind of guy. But I always like to keep it neat and clean shaven.

Now be honest, how would a woman describe your grooming habits?

Well, I’m always told by my girlfriend that I smell good, so I would say I’m doing okay in the grooming/hygiene department.

When prepping to go out on a date what are the three things you make sure you do?

Shower, shave and brush my teeth!

If you could have one night with any celebrity who would it be and why?

Sundance: Swag Suites, Celebs, Cocktails & Of Course, Movies

Amber Katz, Danielle Weingarten of L'Oreal, Jeannine Morris

I just got home from my weekend at Sundance with L’Oreal and have to tell you about Sunday’s festivities.  After gallivanting around Main St. (which is the quaintest little snow covered street) with Amber hitting up a swag suites and a few boutiques, we spent some time in the L’Oreal Paris & Entertainment Weekly Celebrity Suite.

Celebs like James Franco, Anne Heche, Terrence Howard and L’Oreal Spokesperson, Elizabeth Banks all stopped by throughout the weekend including some serious A-Listers that we weren’t aware of (exclusive info to EW).  They were all getting glammed up and then having their pics taken for EW’s next issue specializing on Sundance.

Amber and I of course hit up the L’Oreal glam squad ourselves because we were attending the “Women of Vision Awards,” which
