Wear Your Workout

With Memorial Day weekend just three months away, I like many am in bikini mode.  Intense ab workouts, sculpting classes and cardio sessions galore, the time is now.  The problem however, is just that, time.  It’s not always easy to hit the gym and with little time until summer every second counts.  I found a solution… ShaToBu.

A new line of shape wear that allows you to shape, tone and burn calories  (that’s where ShaToBu came from) just by wearing it. Created by chiropractor, Dr. Denise Perron, the seamless tights are lined with resistance bands in the areas we love most… the butt and thighs.  Studies prove people who wear ShaToBu burn up to 12% more calories per day just by going about their normal activity.

Cosmo’s Latest Beauty Book is Sizzling

If you like reading BeautySweetSpot, then you’ll enjoy Cosmo’s new book, “Sexiest Beauty Secrets: The Ultimate Guide to Looking Gorgeous.”  I got an advanced copy for review and must say, it’s pretty spicy.

Written by some of Cosmo’s former beauty editors (like myself!), mainly Andrea Lavinthal, who I’ve always looked up to, the book dishes on beauty basics from what makeup colors best suit your skin tone to how to perfect a DIY mani.

Here’s one of my favorite tips:

“A surefire way to get his attention: Apply lipstick in front of him….

A Sweet Treat for Your Bod

Caress recently launched Whipped Souffle Body Washes in Blackberry Cream and White Peach Cream that are so thick they feel like moisturizer.  Besides being super hydrating, their fragrances were blended by the fragrance house Givaudan, one of the largest in the world.

The in-shower experience turns mouthwatering, but in a guiltless way, because you realize it’s not edible after all, but don’t fret!  Caress came up with Whipped Sweetiepie Souffle’s to mimic both of their new body washes.  Check out one of the recipes:

Spanx for Men… No Lie

Single ladies be aware… Spanx recently launched a line of shape wear for men that can make his beer belly temporarily disappear.  Imagine dating a guy who wore Spanx all of the time and you didn’t know until it was time to get busy?

However, what can be a nightmare for single ladies may be God’s gift to married women.  Yes, he was fit when you married him… until he got “comfortable.”  Spanx just may be the answer!

Uplifting Spring Scents

The sense of smell is so powerful it can alter and enhance your mood.  Scent alone can trigger emotion, bliss and memory.  Surround yourself this spring by fragrances that are instantly uplifting. Here are some of my top finds:

Suave Naturals Mango Mandarin Refreshing Body Wash, $3.49 at drugstores

Start in the shower.  ”When you wake up in the morning, your mind is at its most free to be emotionally transported by scent,” remarked Dr. Rachel Hertz.

Bond No. 9 High Line, $220 at Bond No. 9 Boutiques

Spritz on a floral.  With notes of purple love grass, bergamot, red-leaf rose, Lady Jane tulips and musk, this light fragrance is a spring go-to.  Named after the NYC High Line that runs from the Meat Packing District to 34th Street and allows NYers to escape from the hustle and bustle, it’ll make you feel like you’ve escaped your busy day.
